Standing Pines - Frequently Asked Questions


Will day passes be available?

  • Standing Pines plans offer day passes. Day guests can enjoy amenities like the pool, pond, trails, and courts without staying overnight. Day access may be limited based on overnight occupancy. Some amenities may be reserved for overnight guests only.

Will long-term camping allowed?

  • Standing Pines is designed for short-term stays. Guests will be welcome to extended stays by switching sites after 28 days. On-site RV storage will also allow guests to store RVs between multiple vacation trips.

Will you have a pool?

  • Yes, a custom resort style pool has been designed for Standing Pines. The design calls for will offer a large resort-style pool designed to accommodate over 250 guests. Design features include planned amenities such as a wet tanning ledge, bubblers, splash area, and more.

Can we fish in the pond?

  • The pond is planned as part of the development of Standing Pines. Once water levels allow, the plan is to stock the pond with fish for guest catch-and-release fishing.

Are golf carts allowed?

  • Guests may bring electric golf carts for a daily use fee. Proof of insurance and a valid driver's license will be required. Carts may only be operated by licensed drivers in accordance with resort rules.

Will you have a restaurant?

  • Standing Pines plans a Snack Bar in the Welcome Center with quick bites like pizza, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and sweet treats. The Snack Bar design includes indoor, climate controlled seating for guests as well as a walk up window option.

When can I book reservations?

  • Standing Pines is pleased to announce a partnership with Campspot, a leader provider for camping reservations. We are currently integrating with this platform. Stay tuned for an announcement soon for the go-live date for reservations.

When will Standing Pines open for guests?

  • The leadership team at Standing Pines often answers this by saying “not soon enough!” An Opening Date is at best a moving target this early in the construction phase. We will update this with an actual date as soon as possible, given the inherent uncertainties of development.

How close is the nearest restaurant?

  • Guests looking for more options than the Snack Bar may enjoy Miriam’s Kitchen, a local favorite for decades. This country store, family style eatery is located 1 mile from Standing Pines. Guests willing to drive 10 minutes to Patrick may enjoy Bill’s Grill. A short 15 minute drive to Hartsville gives access to unique local dining like The Hound and Hoof, Sam Kendall’s, Grigg’s Bakery, The Blind Pig, Yogi Bear Fried Chicken just to name a few. Visit the Hartsville Chamber of Commerce Dining Page for the latest on all the delicious choices in town as well as grocery store options like Food Lion, Super Walmart, IGA or Piggly Wiggly for campers who prefer to whip up something special around the campfire.
